28/10/2020 - We held our first community event! Forest School Camp in our copse (within COVID guidelines).  It was a great success, with wonderful feedback from families.

Forest School offers an amazing opportunity for children to learn and grow by taking calculated risks in a safe outdoor environment, getting closer to nature (which is known to benefit our wellbeing).  It was led by local qualified Forest School Leader and qualified teacher Rebecca Dodman to the highest safety standards.

19/09/2020 - The Acorn Project Team and Manager of the Pre-School celebrated the formal opening of the Acorn Building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by our local Ward Councillor Terry Clements, plus our Suffolk County Councillor Karen Soons, and Wendy Hill, President of the Horringer and Ickworth WI.

We were sad not to be able to invite all our supporters to an Opening Party as planned, but due to coronavirus we celebrated in accordance with the Rule of Six!

We are so grateful to all our supporters for their donations, encouragement and time over the Acorn Project, and we look forward to everyone being able to enjoy our new building!

14/09/2020 - After a very busy summer of building work, the Acorn Building opened its doors as the new home of Horringer Pre-School!

We will hopefully be able to open it to the community as soon as possible (coronavirus permitting).
